Client Challenge

Zumwald & Company’s president was on LinkedIn and Twitter, but her project work level kept her from posting regularly to keep a regular online presence. She also wanted her website to help her attract new B2B clients and expand the speechwriting and speech coaching arm of her business.

Our Solution

We created a brand content bank for Teresa and recommended an upgraded social sharing tool. From there, we managed the content creation and curation for her social streams, including branded social graphics. Our plan allowed her to have control over her brand voice on social media.

Once she completed a re-branding and website upgrade, we did an online audit and new social media strategy with a content plan that included keyword and focus hashtag implementation, LinkedIn publishing and a new social profile, Instagram. Idea Girl Media began providing content optimization for SEO and social SEO as well as increased branded social graphics for LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.

The new social media strategy included the creation of two signature pieces of content: an E-book on effective corporate storytelling and a second E-book checklist designed specifically to encourage email subscribes from website visitors. We also connected her with a speaking organization in Boston.

How It Performed

While we were managing Teresa’s social media, she was able to focus on developing her business. A solid social and online presence was established, and colleagues commented that they were impressed with what she was doing on her social platforms. They began to approach her as an influencer in her niche.

In turn, she attracted additional speechwriting and speech coaching business. Additionally, the company has been able to take on higher-level consulting work and more meaningful projects.

To date, zumwaldandcompany.com has seen dramatic improvement in Google rankings. The website is now competitive with other influencer websites within the niche. Teresa has been asked to participate in podcasts and a virtual summit with the organization in Boston.

Keri was diligent, caring, understanding, and truly interested in the business. The business is unique in its placement and market, providing free house and pet sitting services worldwide, and she jumped in with enthusiasm and professionalism. She clearly identified the areas needing improvement and how best to position the brand within the marketplace. Keri came up with some really clear and concise messaging and helped to target the marketing to the appropriate stakeholders. She left me with a dynamic and full slate of Social Media messaging that I still use today. Keri was honest and didn’t sugarcoat the message, but offered direct and honest feedback. I would not hesitate to recommend Keri to any business who is looking for assistance in the Social Media and online marketplace.
