Client's Problem

Caylor Solutions was working with a prominent boarding school in Rhode Island on a fundraising campaign to add a new, state-of-the-art science building to their campus. Caylor contacted Idea Girl Media to formulate the social media strategy for a year-long campaign that would engage students, parents, staff, alumni and campus stakeholders. Idea Girl Media’s work needed to align with the Caylor team’s entire project including website, branding, fundraising pages, and other project-related content.

Our solution

We made a content plan for an entire year that included recommendations for email marketing efforts, blog articles, live video, created video, and social media posts and stories for each of their social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

The school’s enthusiastic staff and key stakeholders would be executing the strategy, so we included month-by-month activity plans that involved signature school events, student activities, in-class segments, alumni events, and ways to engage their community and physical grounds.

We shined the spotlight on the student body and teachers, their potential as leaders of our future, and how they would benefit from the new science building – an innovative structural asset.

How it performed

While there was an unavoidable delay in starting the fundraising campaign, the school got their science building! The staff was creative and their energies are reflected on their social media pages.

I just spent this past year with Keri as my MENTOR.  The only reason I was overwhelmed at times was due to the vast amount of information Keri has at her fingertips.  As I look back I see that despite my resistance I learned a ton of stuff and have available resources as I need them.  I am known to ask a gazillion of questions and Keri shifted and answered what I need.  I so look forward to spending time again with Keri and others to move ahead another year.
