Hi, Keri thanks for this list. In my eyes, you can’t be successful on social media without using a tool for social media automation. Still, most people seem to think that automating social media is only about spamming. But that is not true. Sure everyone can post to all his/her social media channels from the platform itself. But if you are active on social media this will take hours of work, every day !!

Jo Ann, Thank you for reading this article – Glad you found it helpful. Automating social media posts merely means that you are planning to send something out to your fans/followers at a specific time. Hopefully that falls in line with a social media strategy that considers the best time when the most people will see it. We can choose to be available when our posts go out, or not. Social media is about nurturing relationships and dialogue, so hopefully people choose the first. Tools are tools, and used wisely they can help brands ROCK their social media. It’s about style and discipline of management, as you imply. 🙂 Thanks for your comment, ~Keri

Great list. Social media in its bare form is already is easy to manage but it gets harder the more followers you get. For freelancers who manage many social media accounts, automation tools makes it a lot easier thus, people have more opportunity to bring more clients. In the list of your guest author, I like buzzsumo the best. Its really easy to use and i frequently use it for content research.
